The information on this page is only applicable to fire safety inspection for residential home sales.

As of July 1, 2021, California Civil Code Section 1102.19 requires a seller of real property located in a high or very high fire severity zone within the State Responsibility Area (SRA) or a very high fire severity zone within the Local Responsibility Area (LRA), to provide the buyer with documentation stating the property is in compliance with the requirements of local vegetation management ordinances. These zones are based off of the most recent (11/07/2007) assessment conducted by the State of California Department of Forestry.
