Remembering When - A Senior Fall Prevention Program
San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District and Meals on Wheels Senior Outreach Services are offering "Remembering When" - a free, 45-minute program for older adults on fall and fire prevention. Each year approximately 7,000 adults age 65 and older die as a result of falls and an additional 1,000 pass away in their homes due to fires and burns. The "Remembering When" program teaches older adults to protect themselves from fires and falls through trivia quizzes, humor, and interactive games. The focus is on fun, but the safety messages are very real.

Caregiver Connection
A working group devoted to excellent elder care
The Caregiver Connection was established in early 2010 as a way for licensed residential care facilities to work with regulatory agencies in order to problem solve, identify opportunities, and provide a venue for open communication relative to fire and life safety. The group produces a quarterly newsletter and facilitates an annual workshop each year.
