A collaborative effort from the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District, City of San Ramon, Town of Danville, San Ramon Valley Unified School District and Contra Costa County, we bring you the following Personal Emergency Preparedness classes.
We live in earthquake country. There is nothing we can do to stop an earthquake - but we can get prepared!
What do you personally need in your Emergency Preparedness Kit? Have you wanted to start a kit, but have not found the motivation? It's time to find out what YOU need in a disaster situation and taking the steps to get it. Residents will learn the importance of personal and family disaster preparedness and how to survive after a major emergency. When a disaster occurs, families will need to be self-sufficient until professional help can arrive. This could be 7+ days.
How can we prepare ourselves to be emotionally ready? Let's look at how you can practice today and be less stressed moving forward and find the calm amidst the chaos.
This 3 hour class will cover:
- What to do before, during and after a major emergency
- Hazard Mitigation
- Utility Control
- Personal and Family Emergency Supplies
