Search and Rescue K9s

The primary mission of paw-prints-vertical-red lineNavy and Leslie will be to enhance our search and rescue capabilities within the District and Greater Bay Area if necessary. Both Navy and Leslie have spent a year training at the National Disaster Search Dog Foundation (SDF). The organization was founded in 1996 and is a nonprofit, non-governmental organization based in Santa Paula, California. The mission of SDF is to strengthen disaster response in America by rescuing and recruiting dogs and partnering them with Firefighters and other First Responders to find people buried alive in the wreckage of disasters.
