Director Michelle Lee was elected to the Board of Directors of the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District in 2020. Director Lee has served on various subcommittees and is currently President of the Board.
Lieutenant Colonel (Ret) Lee retired from the United States Air Force after 36 years of service in support of national agencies, joint operations, and combatant commands, including as a contingency planner with the HQ Pacific Air Forces. She held various leadership positions in both the European and Pacific theaters and received numerous awards and decorations for outstanding service.
Director Lee is a graduate of Leadership San Ramon Valley, Rotary Leadership Academy D5160, Fremont Citizen Police Academy, and CERT. She is also certified through the Special District Leadership Academy in Special District Governance. She earned a Political Science B.A. degree from UC Berkeley and a Masters of Military Operational Art and Science degree from the United States Air Force Air University.
Michelle is an active member of the Dougherty Valley San Ramon Rotary Foundation and, during her years with Rotary, has served as past Foundation President, Club Co-President, and on various committees. The impactful work of several projects has connected her with many parts of the local community, as well as given her the opportunity to travel to Mexico, Kenya, and Uganda for international service projects. For two decades, she has also been a member of the American Legion, serving multiple positions including Post Commander and on the Executive Committee. She is also a Director on the Executive Board of the Diablo Valley Veterans Foundation.
Michelle is married to Roger Lee, and they have three children, Michaela, Noe, and Jared.
