The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program educates community members about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact our area. CERT trains students in basic disaster response skills. During this 20 hour course students will learn: Disaster Preparedness, Fire Safety, Disaster Medical Operations and Triage, Light Search and Rescue, Team Organization, Disaster Psychology, Terrorism & the Incident Command System
Upon completion of the program, CERT members will participate in a drill that will put all of their new skills to work. CERT classes are held in the evenings, once a week, for 6 weeks or on weekends.
