The board of directors is a body of five elected members who jointly govern the District. The directors are members of the local community, elected at-large, each serving a staggered four-year term. The directors provide financial oversight and strategic policy direction to maximize the public value of District services.
District Ordinance #21 sets Board compensation at $105 per District Board meeting. Board members may be compensated for a maximum of four meetings per month.
The directors are eligible to participate in certain District-sponsored benefit programs; however, there is no District contribution and Board members are responsible for 100% of the cost.
